So what’s new?

New is the AMOLED (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) display, which means that each pixel is controlled via an active matrix and has its own power connection. The big advantage of OLED is that it needs no backlight like LCD displays. Black pixels are not emitted black instead they are turned off. This yields to a higher contrast and saves the battery. Below you will find a short comparison with HTC Hero and the IPhone 3GS.
